Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American entrepreneur for over twenty years. Buss is the founder and the president of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is the daughter of a California born and raised in an affluent family. The father of her Jerry Buss was a real-estate businessman who became owner of the Lakers and other sports businesses. Following the divorce of her parents in 1972 She began feeling as if she was abandoned. She joined the family business at the age of 19 and became the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. Her first role was vice president of Lakers prior to taking over the position of president of Great Western Forum. Buss and her five sisters took over his Lakers controlling ownership after the death of Busshis father in the year 2013. Each of the sisters had an equal voice. Buss assumed the role of the President of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, a professional organization that has its headquarter in Los Angeles.
